The new 2008 Discus amplifier series utilize A/B-Class amplifier technology similar to previous MB Quart flagship A/B Class amplifier models. One major advantage and significant sonic benefit of all 2008 Discus DSC Series amplifiers is the sonically pure A/B Class amplifier circuitry. The designation A/B Class means these amplifier designs are a blend of the best traits of A-Class and B-Class amplification. To further control noise and distortion, these Discus A/B Class amplifiers have high speed audio signal re-sampling circuits that identify these unwanted signals and then create mirror-image signals of them that´s re-injected into the signal path, effectively canceling distortion to the point of inaudibility. Sounds simple but these control circuits are processing signals more than 100,000 times a second.
